PeopleJar is a software company developing digital marketing platforms and tools for people, brands, and causes to experience more from their social networks.
PeopleJar has developed and introduced two unique platforms to date:
PeopleJar’s 1st platform (the “Member” Platform) released in beta in November 2010.
The uniqueness of this platform comes in two key parts.
First, the user experience is designed to facilitate connections with new people and your existing friends from the context of interests — all your interests: personal, professional, and humanitarian. Attaching the social graph to each piece of interest-driven content enables a new level of rich social media conversations and engagement within PeopleJar as well as across your existing social networks, such as Facebook and LinkedIn.
PeopleJar’s ability to profile and connect with others around all aspects of your interests in a fun, secure, engaging way is brought to life through the uploading of interest-based content by our members. This content is designed to allow our members to creatively communicate their interest areas and their desire to connect with others through the posting of a video, audio file, photo, or just a simple document.
The second unique part of this platform is that it enables the gathering of people by interest through the implementation of interest walls. Interest walls are unique landing pages within the site that are designed to gather people who share the same interest and feature user-generated content aligned to that specific interest area. The interest walls provide an opportunity for members to promote their passion or interest among others who share this passion or interest in a very high-quality, interactive way.
These two unique parts of the PeopleJar member platform experience are the heart of an exciting new way to connect and engage with others through the power of social media.
PeopleJar’s 2nd platform (the “Campaign” Platform) released in beta in February 2011.
The platform entitled iCE (Interests Campaign Engine) is designed for brands and/or causes to more efficiently activate their social media fans and followers through targeted interest-based digital campaigns. The reality is that most brands and causes have invested millions of dollars to grow a Facebook fan base and a Twitter following. With this work still in progress for many, those companies on the leading edge of social media are faced with the question of determining the true value of this audience and this investment. The fact is that these audiences have not been truly activated and as such are just sitting back reading wall posts or tweets versus going out and helping evangelize the products or needs of the brand or cause. The iCE platform has been designed with this significant opportunity in mind.

These features come to life through the implementation of custom campaign walls for our brand- and cause partners. These campaign walls are designed to encourage fan or follower involvement through the ability to upload user-generated content as part of the overall engagement plan or campaign. These campaign walls are then fully integrated into Facebook, Twitter, and company home pages. It’s the creative execution of a unique idea on the campaign wall and the encouragement of fans or followers to upload submissions to the campaign that drive higher levels of activation and return on investment for brands.
PeopleJar’s two platforms have been designed to run as one integrated experience, and each can also run independently based on the desire of our brand- and cause partners. When they are integrated, our PeopleJar members will be given the opportunity to participate in cool campaigns that are aligned with their interests.
